Rules of acceptance

The health and safety of all our clients is our main concern. In order for any dog to join our daily activities, the following rules must be followed:

  • Application process
    A complete set of application forms must be submitted. Dogs must attend a minimum 1/2-day interview, temperament evaluation.
  • Reservations
    Reservations are required for all dogs. Scheduling preference and priority is placed on customer committment and length of package. If your dog will not be attending on a scheduled day, we need a minimum of 24 hours notice. Failure to do so will result in a charge for the missed day.
  • Age
    Puppies are accepted at any age after their second set of shots. All dogs must be spayed or neutered at 6 months of age.
  • Shots
    All shots and updates are the responsibility of the dog owner. All dogs must have up to date vaccinations including rabies, distemper, hepatitis parvovirus, parainfluenza (DHPP 5 in 1). The corona vaccine is recommended for all dogs. Bordatella (kennel cough) must be up to date and renewed every six months. We also require that your dog be on flea and heartworm preventative. Written proof of vaccination is required. It is the owner's responsibility to keep all vaccination records, alteration records and contact information forms up to date at all times.
  • Spay/Neuter
    Camp K9 does not accept any unaltered dog over 6 months of age. All puppies accepted into our program must be spayed or neutered by 6 months old.
  • General health
    All dogs must be free of communicable diseases for at least three months prior to enrollment. Upon enrollment or re-admission, all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize other pets.
  • Behavior
    Dogs must not exhibit agressive behavior. Any dog exhibiting agressive behavior will be safely isolated and will not be allowed re-admission until the behavior has been modified. We reserve the right to exclude dogs that pose a potential risk to the safety of dogs or staff.
  • Rates
    All packages must be used within 60 days. Packages/punch cards expire 60 days after purchase (view rates)
  • Drop off and pick up
    All dogs dropped off at Camp K9 must be on a leash attached to a securely fitting collar. Dogs must have a "regular" collar of leather, fabric or nylon in addition to any chain or training collar. All collars must have current identification attached. Dogs must be picked up by closing time. A $10 fee will accrue for each 15 minutes or fraction thereof after closing time. In the event that your dog is not picked up or arrangements made by one hour after closing time, your dog will be kept safe and provided with overnight accomodations. Additional charges will be accrued for overnight stay. Check out time for boarding is 12 p.m. The regular daily rate will be charged for any dogs picked up after 12 p.m.
